GENERAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES Alphabet Soup is a literary magazine for primary-school aged children. Our current subscriber base includes Australian families, grandparents, teachers, school libraries and public libraries. We also have a small number of overseas subscribers. Read the following guidelines before submitting any work. (or Print the PDF of the Guidelines.) We accept work from established and emerging writers. Please contact the Editor regarding remuneration. There are some subjects that are not suitable for our magazine. We will not publish writing that includes violence, swearing, or content that we consider is inappropriate for our readers. (Please remember your main audience: Australian children aged 6 to 12.) StoriesNo longer than 500 words. PoemsNo longer than 40 lines. Nonfiction We are not currently publishing nonfiction articles. Please include your name, contact address, telephone number and email address in your submission. You may paste your writing in the body of your email, or attach a .doc document or PDF.
